Jesse Malin

You know when you come across an artist you've never listened to, check them out on Spotify and end up listening to nothing else for weeks?
And then your friends make fun of you and say you have to marry the singer because his last name is the same as your first name and the result would be all kinds of awesome. Or is that last part just me?

Anyway, Jesse Malin sings some great songs so check him out. Glitter in the gutter and Love it to life are my favourite records.

Summer Playlist

It's a bright sunny day in Sweden and I'm in the mood for some punk n roll. Here are some of the bands I'm listening to right now;

If you have Spotify you can check out my summer playlist, as always it's a work in progress.

If You Wanna Be Happy

Some songs just start playing in your head for no reason at all. "If You Wanna Be Happy" by Jimmy Soul is one of those songs. I've been humming it for two days and I haven't heard it since the last time I saw "Mermaids".

If you prefer Spotify, you can find the song here.

Let It Snow

It's snowing again. I'm indoors with a cold, so I've been passing the time with Spotify, a new music service that allows you to stream thousands of songs for free. So far it's only a beta version that requires an invite.

The Spotify client is a program that you download and then you're good to go. So far I like it. But as a fan of music that is released on smaller idependent labels I miss a lot of artists, such as NOFX and Groovie Ghoulies.

But it's legal and a great way to listen to new music. The downside is that everything is streamed so you need to be online to use it.
