The last few days have been hot. Tropical, Mediterranean, not-anything-we're-used-to-in-Sweden hot.
I went swimming on Sunday. The sea was lovely and cool, but as soon as I left the water I was warm again. I can't remember the last time that happened.
It feels really weird to wake up, take an ice cold shower, get dressed and put on make up... and then you're sweating again. The local trains are acting up too, making my commute a sweaty and tiring adventure. At least we have air-conditioning at the office.
I've wished for warmer weather all winter... just not this hot. Could somebody please turn it down a notch?

Summer? Are you there?
Does anyone know where the summer went? Sure, the days are longer and the snow is gone... but something is missing. Like warm weather and sunshine.
I don't wanna wear boots and thick sweaters, I wanna wear summer clothes and sunglasses.
And it's not just the clothes... All the rain, grey skies and damp fog is making me tired and gloomy. I'm beginning to feel like I live in the kind of town that is popular with vampires...
By the way, Mika's "Rain" is the best video I've seen in a long time.

We're having some strange weather today. This morning it was snowing. The first picture was taken at nine in the morning.
An hour and a half later I stepped back on the balcony with the camera. Most of the snow was gone by then.
And by one in the afternoon there was virtually no snow left...I've been a really lazy blogger this week. I spent Sunday covering an equestrian event for Ridsport, and almost froze to death. Riding houses are anything but warm this time of year and I had to spend seven hours there because the event dragged on forever.
I took a lot of pictures of show jumping ponies and almost got my ear talked of by the father of one of the riders. We call parents like these "pony parents" (ponnyföräldrar) and they promote their kids to the max. In the process they annoy editors, writers and photographers at equestrian magazines by wailing like a banshee if their kid doesn't look like a star.
The young riders are for the most part very sweet and easy to talk to, if they can get a word in.
