Listmania 2008

I was asked to list my top five things about music in 2008 by Sörling who runs the Swedish punk blog Turist i tillvaron. You can find my list here.

For those who don't speak Swedish, my number one is Flogging Molly in Lund. I wrote about that gig here.
Number two is the book "New Brunswick, New Jersey, Goodbye" by Ronen Kauffman, which I wrote about in May.

J.Tex and the Volunteers are third, followed by H2O releasing "Nothing To Prove". Number five is Mindless Self Indulgence.

Last night I did something that was either really stupid or a great move. Possibly both. I talked my way into helping out at a local record company.

It'll mean a lot of work and no money, but it's a start.
I've always wanted to work in the music business, and now I have a chance to try it. There's no money, no glamour, but I'd be working with some great people at a small company.

Some great, hardworking work-is-my-life-and-my-lover kind of people. Hey, nobody's perfect. Least of all me.
